The basis for the album “Ornament of all ages and styles,” prepared by publishing in two volumes, was the publication of “L’Ornement polychrome”, released in Paris in 1888 under the editorship of Rasine Auguste, who has spent a great job, exploring the various primary sources, grouping several sequences of different countries, eras and styles in a harmonious and well-designed ornamental table, characterized by strict systematization.
Volumes I and II include 220 colored ornamental tables, using gold and silver, containing about 4000 subjects of all styles.
Volume I represents the art of antiquity, the art of Asia and the Middle Ages.
Volume II presents the art of Medieval, Renaissance, XVII-XIX century.
We hope that this edition will bring you not only aesthetic pleasure but also bring practical benefits, as the application of the ornament is very diverse.
